Avon Beach

Windy Willums is just yards from award winning Avon Beach, with its beautiful views around Christchurch Bay, and across to The Needles and The Isle of Wight.

The area is famous for its water sports, with sailing, wind surfing, kite surfing, and fishing being particularly popular.

Nature reserves abound in the area, with some being within easy walking distance.

The old fishing village of Mudeford, with it's famous Quay, is just a short stroll away. From the Quay you can take a short ferry ride to traffic free Hengistbury Head and Mudeford Sandbank, with its lovely beach huts.

Historic Christchurch is close by, and strolling the old town is very popular with visitors.  Take a look at the beautiful Priory,  with its breathtaking architecture and tranquil convent walk.

Christchurch Quay is a great place to relax,  see the swans, or  to hire a boat to explore the harbour or the river.

The area has many excellent restaurants, cafes, pubs, shops, and especially in Summer - lots of events of all kinds.

Highcliffe Castle (Dorset's favourite wedding venue) is also close by. It's minutes by car, or a stroll along the Christchurch Coastal  Path (which is wheelchair friendly along it's whole length, and passes through one of the area's nature reserves at Steamer Point).

The world renowned New Forest National Park is just a few minutes away by car, if you want to enjoy walking, cycling, or

 horse riding in beautiful countryside.
